Effects of VH60HD voltage optimisation on lighting

Depending on the type of lighting there may be a dimming of the lights following installation of a voltage optimiser. This is due to the lights now running at the lower voltage level and not burning brighter than they are designed to do, due to high voltage supply. This is also why when using a Voltis Home unit your lights will have a longer lifespan.

Voltis Home units are designed to switch between modes under certain supply and demand conditions. Each time your Voltis Home unit switches between these modes you may notice a dimming or brightening of your lights.

Effects of VH60HD voltage optimisation on appliances

Every type of electrical appliance works differently and due to the nature of certain appliances they will not all show a savings benefit. All CE marked appliances are designed to work as normal between 207Volt and 253Volts, so if for example voltage is dropped to around 220Volts it is still well within these parameters.

However the savings generated will vary by appliance, most appliances will show some level of saving, some appliances show very good savings, some appliances will show no savings, but on balance you should expect to see an overall saving in a typical household of between 9 and 13%.

Taking a kettle for example. A kettle takes excess electricity supplied and converts it to heat, therefore speeding up the boiling process.
